looking.\u00a0 Consider the example of a \u201cpioneer in the premium juice category\u201d who, the US Army discovered, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.marlerblog.com\/legal-cases\/another-lesson-learned-the-hard-way-odwalla-e-coli-outbreak-1996\/#.VruBH5MrJXi\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">opted not to do end-product testing on their unpasteurized juice in 1996.<\/a>\u00a0Later that year an E. coli outbreak traced back to their contaminated apple juice killed one child and sickened over 60 others.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/news\/wonk\/wp\/2016\/02\/02\/why-a-top-food-safety-expert-doesnt-eat-oysters-and-always-orders-meat-well-done\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">This event is one of the many reasons food safety expert and lawyer Bill Marler won\u2019t drink unpasteurized milk or juice.<\/a>\u00a0Thirty years of experience has taught him that between lack of oversight by the FDA, lack of accountability by the food manufacturers, and the health impact of contracting a virulent pathogen, the risks are too
