They can\u2019t tell you. They might show you in vague ways, such as eating less, sleeping more, scratching too much, or coughing occasionally. No one wants to over-react, but by the time you make it to the vet it could be too late for intervention.<\/p>\n<p>In 2016, the College of Veterinary Medicine at Michigan State University discovered a rare and dangerous form of pulmonary disease in dogs. <a href=\"http:\/\/msutoday.msu.edu\/news\/2016\/rare-human-disease-found-in-dogs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Previously only known to affect people, MSU has now established that pulmonary veno-occlusive disease, or PVOD, also occurs in canines.<\/a>\u00a0As lead researcher Kurt Williams told <em>MSU Today<\/em>, &#8220;It&#8217;s cases like this that help to remind us how important veterinary medicine is to medicine in general.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But while biomedical research draws ever-increasing levels of public interest and funding, veterinary research labs are often left to soldier on with little support.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.priorclave.com\/en-us\/why-priorclave\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Priorclave&#8217;s goal<\/a>\u00a0is to provide researchers with the equipment they deserve: Reliable, Flexible, Programable, Affordable, and Safe.
