Cost-Effective Safety Testing and Quality Control for Cosmetic Manufacturers

Although regulations and standards for cosmetic manufacturing in the US are often characterized as sparse, FDA statistics have confirmed for many years that this is one of the safest product categories Americans regularly use.
Because reputable cosmetic manufacturers—whether they make shampoo, lipstick, or deodorant—always confirm product safety before hitting the market, and conduct regular quality control tests for as long as they continuing offering a product. They also test their products any time there is a change in their raw materials, supply chain, production procedure, scaling, or packaging. One could argue that this is an ideal example of how a free market can assure solid self-regulation: Testing costs money, but it is much less costly than a PR disaster.
Sturdy, Programmable Sterilizers Are the Backbone of Cost-Effective Quality Control
In most organizations, the most expensive aspect of their product testing and quality control is employee hours. And many of those hours are spent babysitting lab equipment as it heats or cools, or waiting around for a cycle to finish so they can swap in the next batch.
For robust testing, a busy quality control lab needs a sturdy, programmable research-grade autoclave. Priorclave has worked with many European cosmetic and toiletry manufacturers to match them with the right autoclave for their needs—one that is fully programmable but still pushbutton-simple, with a small physical footprint, an even smaller environmental footprint (not a drop or kilowatt used while idle), and still allows them to tick all of their many regulatory boxes.
