Supporting You Through the International Coronavirus/COVID-19 Crisis

These are challenging days. The swift spread of coronavirus/COVID-19 has disrupted business, research, and daily life globally.

Due to the rapid spread of coronavirus here in Michigan, our governor has recently issued a “Stay Home, Stay Safe” order. This temporarily suspends all activities in the state that “are not necessary to sustain or protect life.” Between one-quarter and one-third of all Americans are currently under such orders. Great Britain (where our autoclaves are manufactured) is under a similar stay-at-home order.novel coronavirus/COVID-19

Priorclave North America remains committed to supporting our customers, and providing the best products and highest level of service possible. Additionally, like all of you, we are even more committed to protecting the health, safety, and quality-of-life of our employees, clients, and communities.

As such, there have been temporary changes to our operations. These may impact the operation of your facility.

But, to be clear: We remain open for business and are here to support you.

We’re Here for You

Autoclaves and their service/maintenance are considered “essential services”—and are obviously important to the sorts of research needed to slow this pandemic. Both Priorclave North America and our British parent company (Priorclave Ltd.) have business continuity of operations plans in place. These plans are designed to help us mitigate the effects that a potential pandemic may have on our employees and their families, while simultaneously allowing the continuation of operations that support essential functions and services to our clients.autoclave for service tech and lab managers

Conditions in Great Britain have become such that we’ve been obliged to temporarily cease manufacturing autoclaves. Our British parent company (Priorclave Ltd.) anticipates this closure lasting through the end of April, but will be reviewing it weekly and resuming operations as soon as possible.

Nonetheless, we will continue remote service and customer support for the foreseeable future. We’re fielding calls, answering emails, troubleshooting error codes, and shipping parts as need. As called for (and permitted under law) we are sending service agents to client sites to maintain their Priorclave units. All scheduled service visits will remain unaffected, unless 1) customers request otherwise, 2) legal or executive orders prevent such business in your area, or 3) there is positive coronavirus test or confirmed case of COVID-19 within the customer’s business that could pose a significant risk of Priorclave employees during the visit.

In the words of Priorclave Ltd. managing director Tony Collins:

Our focus is, as always, to protect the health of our employees, customers and our communities.

The situation is evolving rapidly and we will continue to monitor official advice and modify our policies accordingly. Please be assured that we remain fully committed to support your business … throughout these challenging times.

Sincerely,
Barbra Wells
