Steam Sterilizers & Laboratory Autoclaves for Sale

For more than 25 years, Priorclave has designed and built some of the most reliable—and most affordable—steam autoclaves for sale anywhere in the world.  Priorclave industrial steam sterilizers are available in front-loading and top-loading configurations, in sizes ranging from tabletop units to BSL-rated wall-mounted pass-through “double-enders.” These are the only steam autoclaves available that combine the efficiency and reliability of traditional cylindrical steam sterilizers with the cycle flexibility of an advanced programmable control system. Their “Safety First” design includes redundant thermal and mechanical interlocks on the doors, as well as antimicrobial exterior paneling to prevent cross-contamination.

Every single one of our autoclaves—regardless of size or model—comes standard with the advanced Tactrol 2 programmable control system, Biomaster Protected® Antimicrobial Surfaces exterior coating (exclusive to Priorclave autoclave sterilizers), an unparalleled warranty, and free lifetime technical support.

Choosing the Right Sterilizer for Your Facility

You have many sterilization options. For most labs, heat is the answer—either dry-heat sterilization or steam autoclaving. Unless some aspect of your work absolutely demands dry-heat sterilization (i.e., frequent sterilization of anhydrous fats, oils, powders, or metal instruments at risk for corrosion), then steam is almost always the best sterilization choice, in terms of safety, speed, cost, efficiency, and effectiveness.

Unfortunately, most steam sterilizers on the market today are jacketed autoclaves. Jacketed steam sterilizers are extremely high-maintenance, and consume a great deal of electricity and water, even when idle. These are primarily intended for high-throughput medical settings, and are thus poorly suited to laboratory work (in terms of service and reliability). Such autoclaves were originally intended to sterilize trays of clean surgical instruments, and fall short on most common research tasks, like liquid sterilization, growth media preparation, and waste processing.

By contrast, Priorclave non-jacketed autoclaves were designed specifically for cost-efficient and convenient laboratory use. They have few moving parts, meaning less frequent downtime and easier overall maintenance. Efficient chamber design and in-chamber electrical steam generation conserve energy and minimize water consumption. On an annual basis, a non-jacketed Priorclave autoclave can be expected to use 1/6th to 1/10th as much water and energy as a comparable steam-jacketed sterilizer. This translates to an 80% (or greater) reduction in operating costs when compared with competing same-size, same-capability steam sterilizing autoclaves.

That’s added savings on top of the lower initial autoclave price.

Autoclave Sterilizers Designed for the Laboratory, Built for Reliability

Priorclave autoclave sterilizers are built from the ground up for reliability in research labs, education settings, and industrial facilities. We built our first autoclave in 1988–and that unit is still reliably running today, 30 years later.

Every Priorclave steam sterilizer—regardless of size—comes standard with the same fully featured programmable control system. This gives labs precise control of a wide array of cycle parameters, including dwell times, temperature and pressure ramps, and more. You can have any custom cycle you need, without sacrificing the ease (and safety) that comes with “one-touch” push-button start.

Priorclave is one of the very few steam sterilizer manufacturers in the world that retains complete control of our supply chain by manufacturing all principal components in-house–including our 316L stainless steel pressure chamber and programmable control systems. The result is a 25% lower autoclave price than competing steam sterilizing autoclaves.

Custom Industrial Steam Autoclaves for Sale

Each Priorclave steam sterilizer is built to order, which helps ensure the best possible match to your tasks, facilities, and requirements. We back our quality construction and reliable design with the best support program of any autoclave or steam sterilizer supplier: a 36-month limited parts and labor warranty, a 20-year pressure vessel warranty, unlimited free lifetime technical support, an international network of factory-certified authorized service agents (ASAs)–and greater than 90% customer satisfaction.

It’s our goal to provide schools, researchers, and innovators with reliable, flexible, and affordable laboratory equipment that meets their steam sterilization needs without breaking the bank—or the environment. Most importantly, we want to work together to support you through your work. Wherever you are, we are as close as a phone call or mouse click.
